Adelaide Strikers are the defending champions after cruising past Hobart Hurricanes in the final, while Perth Scorchers are the most successful team in the league, winning the title thrice and finishing runners-up on two occasions. Brisbane Heat, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder have all won the tournament once. Here’s a comprehensive guide to the 2018-19 edition.

The Big Bash Teams

Eight teams battle it out for the Big Bash trophy, beginning from December 19. Teams should have two rookie contracts, i.e., players under the age of 21 in the 18-member squad. Imagine clicking a picture with Chris Gayle, or buying your favourite car? We present you someone who has done it all by playing fantasy sports on LeagueAdda. The player, who has won more than Rs. 4.5 lakhs, shares his experience of playing on the platform.

Q: First of all, congratulations. Tell us a little about yourself?

A: My name is Nilesh. I work in an IT firm and live in Borivali, Mumbai. I am a regular at Wankhede and supports Mumbai Indians in IPL.

Q: When did you start playing on LeagueAdda?

A: I started playing on LeagueAdda five months back. My friend used to play on the platform, and he referred me. I used to play fantasy cricket in the beginning, but now I am into football and kabaddi. It is easily the best platform to play fantasy sports.

Q: What do you like about the LeagueAdda app?

A: The best feature of LeagueAdda is that it allows you to make changes in the team until the first ball. The extended deadline is a saving grace. I am a huge fan of the big leagues. The prizes and number of winners are big. Also, withdrawals are processed very quickly. It is very rarely I have encountered any snags.

Q: The most memorable moment so far?

A: Meeting Chris Gayle and clicking a picture with him during LeagueAdda meet and greet event. I never imagined that playing fantasy sports would ever land an opportunity like this. I was living a dream that day. It was amazing to get up close with the Universe Boss.

Q:  Why would you recommend LeagueAdda to your friends?

A: LeagueAdda comes up with great offers and promotions. During Diwali, I won Rs. 18,000 and claimed plenty of bonuses. I have won more than Rs. 4.5 lakhs till now, and has recently booked a car with the winnings. I am glad that I got a platform to put my cricket knowledge to test, and LeagueAdda has rewarded me. Now, many of my friends are playing on the platform, and they are enjoying it.
