After successful outings in Tests and one-dayers, India kick-off T20I series against West Indies on Saturday. The hosts have rested biggies Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper MS Dhoni for the three-match series. West Indies, meanwhile, are without Chris Gayle and opener Evin Lewis.
1st T20I November 4 – Kolkata (7:00 PM)
2nd T20I November 6 – Lucknow (7:00 PM)
3rd T20I November 11 – Chennai (7:00 PM)
West Indies boast a superior record over India in the 20-over format. The last time both sides met, in a one-off clash, Windies thrashed Men in Blue by 9 wickets. India are yet to win a T20 match against West Indies since 2014.
India’s only silver lining in the England tour was the T20I series victory. The Virat Kohli-led team edged the hosts 2-1. West Indies, on the other hand, were outplayed by Bangladesh in the three-match series held in familiar conditions. Despite winning the opening clash, West Indies struggled to sustain momentum in the remainder of the series.
